About the Event

Join local artist, KJ Forman (Lucky Little Queer), for an afternoon virtual crafting session! This session is open to all folks who want to explore their creative side.

This event is put on in collaboration with Carleton University's Sexual Assault Support Centre for their Orientation Week 2020. To learn more about the other events they have going on, check out their website

Community care and connection have always been important to our survival, but never more so than right now during the Covid-19 pandemic. Whether we're physically isolating alone or with another/others, art is an incredible way to care for ourselves and connect with each other - and the virus can't stop us from doing so.

Join the '#CUriousAbout Self-Care' workshop, where we will be hanging out virtually as new friends and old, to discuss positive forms of self-love and community care while creating art together. No artistic experience required, you'll just need a printer and some colouring supplies!

Lucky Little Queer (KJ Forman, BSW) will be guiding the group through a community conversation about caring for ourselves and one another during Covid-19. Participants will be given a downloadable package of affirmation colouring pages and are encouraged to print and colour them together during the workshop.

Qualifications:

KJ (they/them) has completed a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Carleton University (2019) and has experience facilitating in-person workshops on self-care and visual art. This is their first virtual workshop, so they are excited to share this new adventure with you!
