It’s hard to be a trans person - every day we’re bombarded with media reminding us how some people don’t see us as human. We leave the house knowing that most people are not going to see us for who we are. Many of us face real, tangible danger every day just by being our authentic selves.
 
But being trans is also the easiest thing in the world. I love being trans. My gender is as expansive and limitless as the universe itself. When I think about my gender I feel connected to the earth and its beautiful ability to expand and adapt, to change and flow, to thrive despite everything humanity throws at it. That’s what trans people do, too. We are created exactly as nature designed. We are made to challenge expectations, to succeed and thrive and celebrate and live happy, full lives despite everything people do to try and put us down.
